Peanut Butter Banana Raisin Sandwich

peanut butter banana raisin sandwich
This is the first time I have eaten a peanut butter-banana-raisin sandwich, and it is so good!  To cut down on fat and calories, I used a 45 calorie whole wheat bread (Sara Lee Delightful). I absolutely love Sara Lee's Delightful brand. Check out the Sara Lee website for more nutritious and healthy recipes. You'll find everything from Falafel Burgers to Hawaiian Bagels.

This recipe is from The Cookbook for People Who Love Animals. It has over 300 totally vegetarian recipes from beginner to gourmet with no meat, eggs, dairy, honey, sugar, or cholesterol. It also includes recipes for your pet and inspirational anecdotes.

Excerpt:
When we consider the wolf and the elephant, the shark and the ox, the weasel and the deer, we find that it is not the size or strength of animals, but how they obtain their food, that determines whether their nature is violent or gentle.

We humans are also animals. Therefore, it is how our food is obtained that determines our own nature: violent or gentle. A gentle human nature is essential if we are to evolve; and we must evolve, if we are to survive."

This recipe serves 1.
